Cardi B Captivates New York City with an Eye-Catching Dress Featuring Hip Cutouts

In the words of Yerin Kim

Cardi B made a stunning appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” in preparation for her upcoming performance at the MTV VMAs. The rapper and mother of two looked absolutely glamorous as she donned a show-stopping aqua blue gown for the late-night show. Cardi’s outfit turned heads on the streets of NYC outside the Bravo studios, with the backdrop of a bike lane and scaffolding in Manhattan adding an interesting contrast to her couture dress and red carpet poses.

The intricate bodycon dress was adorned with unique elements such as rope detailing, cutouts at the hip and waist, and a ruched skirt. Cardi worked with her trusted stylist Kollin Carter to accessorize with silver diamond earrings, a studded bangle bracelet, and sky-high platform heels that perfectly complemented her look. Her vibrant appearance was completed with big, bouncy curls and a shimmery blue manicure.

This high-fashion ensemble marks a return for Cardi, as she hasn’t been seen in such glamorous attire since her visit to Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week earlier this summer. During the fashion event, Cardi made a statement with one surprising couture look after another. From an opulent lace-up gown at the Schiaparelli show to a Jean Paul Gaultier catsuit, a giant feather cape from Balenciaga, and a sculptural headpiece for Thom Browne, Cardi truly stood out among the attendees.

Cardi’s appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” comes shortly after the release of her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “Bongos.” The duo debuted a music video for the single, showcasing sultry swimwear moments. As they are set to perform their new hit at the VMAs, we can expect even more striking looks from the talented rappers on the stage.
