Katy Perry Steals the Show at American Idol Finale with Orange Jumpsuit and Giant Wig, Joined by Daddy Yankee

She was there to crown an American Idol winner.

But Katy Perry made a fierce impression of her own as she performed at the ABC show’s finale on Sunday.

The 34-year-old singer and Idol judge put on one of her most colourful shows yet, in an orange jumpsuit and giant blonde wig.

Katy was joined on stage by Daddy Yankee, as they performed a remix of Con Calma for the first time.

Her comical wig was decorated with purple and green martini glasses.

The fiancee of Orlando Bloom carried off frosted pink eyeshadow and a bright pink lip colour with aplomb.

The Puerto Rican artist released the remix last month, with new lyrics written and sung by Perry.

‘¿Cómo te llamas, baby? A little mezcal got me feelin’ spicy,’ she sings on the catchy track.

‘I know that we don’t speak the same language, but I’m gonna let my body talk for me.’

Laine Hardy was named the winner of American Idol on Sunday during a three-hour season finale.

The 18-year-old Louisiana singer beat out Alejandro Aranda, 25, and Madison VanDenburg, 17, to win season 17 of the ABC show.

Laine previously appeared on season 16 of American Idol but was eliminated at the Top 50.
