Suspicions of cracks in the marriage of Cardi B and her husband have been growing since last week when fans discovered that the two stars had unfollowed each other on Instagram. On December 4th, Cardi also shared some cryptic messages about relationship issues on her Instagram Story.
During a live announcement about the separation, Cardi B confirmed that she had been showing signs of a breakup on social media recently. She also openly expressed, “I’m tired of protecting other people’s feelings. I have to prioritize myself.”
Cardi B and Offset got married in 2017 and have two children together, a 5-year-old daughter named Kulture and a 2-year-old son named Wave. In October, the female rapper celebrated her birthday in a romantic way with her husband. She showed off the extravagant gifts that Offset gave her and a room filled with roses. The celebrity couple also recently celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary in September.
During their time together, Cardi B and Offset have faced challenges in their marriage and have come close to breaking up on multiple occasions. Cardi B filed for divorce twice in 2018 and 2020 amidst rumors of her husband’s infidelity, but later withdrew the petitions.
