Suspicion of a rift in Cardi B’s marriage began to emerge last week when fans noticed that the power couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. On December 4th, Cardi also shared some cryptic messages about their troubled relationship on her Instagram Story.
During a live announcement of their split, Cardi B confirmed that she had indeed displayed signs of a breakup on social media in recent times. She also expressed her exhaustion with the constant need to protect other people’s emotions, stating that she needed to prioritize herself.
Cardi B and Offset tied the knot in 2017 and have two children together, a 5-year-old daughter named Kulture and a 2-year-old son named Wave. In October, the female rapper celebrated her birthday with a romantic celebration alongside her husband. She proudly showed off the extravagant gifts he gave her and the room filled with roses. The celebrity couple also recently celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary in September.
Throughout their time together, Cardi B and her husband have faced numerous challenges in their marriage that nearly led to its demise. She filed for divorce twice in 2018 and 2020 amid rumors of her husband’s infidelity, but later withdrew the petitions.
