In a recent interview with Allure, Jennifer Aniston has opened up about her struggles with infertility. The 53-year-old actress posed for a stunning shoot where she showed off her incredible figure in a tiny Chanel bra, while discussing her emotional and physical journey to conceive children. Aniston expressed regret at not freezing her eggs when she was younger, stating that she did everything she could to fight infertility, including going through IVF and drinking Chinese teas. She also addressed rumors about her relationship with former partners Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, noting that the constant speculation made her infertility battle even harder.
“I was on a journey to conceive, and it wasn’t easy for me. I underwent IVF treatment several years ago, and it was a challenging process,” she shared. “There have been endless rumors and speculations about my pregnancy struggles, but the truth is, I tried everything I could. I consumed Chinese teas, followed different remedies, and gave my all to make it happen.”
The performer expressed regret that she did not receive advice to preserve her eggs when she was younger. She acknowledged that she has since accepted the fact that she will never be able to bear children. “I would have done anything if someone had advised me to freeze my eggs. It just never crossed my mind. So, here I am today, and the opportunity has passed,” she stated. Jennifer, who gained fame for her work on the popular show Friends for a decade, from 1994 to 2004, concedes that she was too preoccupied with her career to consider settling down and starting a family one day. She also denounced the constant scrutiny she experienced when she did not become pregnant during her 5-year marriage to Pitt. “I was solely focused on my professional development. And heaven forbid that a woman is successful and doesn’t have children,” she said. “The rumors claiming that my ex-husband and I split up because I wouldn’t have a child were false. They were absolute lies. At this stage, I don’t have anything to conceal.”
Following her marriage to Justin at the age of 46, the actress faced further scrutiny regarding her ability to have children, which was speculated as a reason for their split in 2017. Despite trying for children together, the couple reportedly faced difficulties and ultimately accepted that it was not meant to be. However, Jennifer has come to terms with this realization and even feels a sense of relief now that the possibility of having kids is no longer a looming uncertainty in her life.
As time has passed, the actress has gained a newfound sense of self-assurance. She revealed that she no longer worries about other people’s opinions of her, and this is largely due to the obstacles she overcame in her late thirties and forties. During this period, she faced some tough challenges, but these experiences helped her grow into the person she was always meant to be. She stated, “If I hadn’t gone through those difficult times, I wouldn’t have become the strong, confident person I am now.”
