During her concert performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas, Cardi B was hit with a drink thrown by a concertgoer. The rapper quickly responded by throwing her microphone back at the attendee before they were escorted away by security. Despite the incident, Cardi continued to perform and later retweeted a clearer video of the fan attempting to throw their drink at her. This isn’t the first time Cardi has reacted strongly during a show, as she reportedly threw her microphone at a DJ during a previous performance. Other artists such as Harry Styles, Bebe Rexha, and Drake have also faced objects being thrown at them during concerts, indicating a growing trend.

The incident that occurred in June during Bebe Rexha’s New York City concert garnered significant attention when a member of the crowd threw his phone towards the singer, hitting her in the face and causing her to fall to the ground. The perpetrator was arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault and harassment. Unfortunately, Bebe Rexha wasn’t the only artist to suffer this type of incident, as Kelsea Ballerini was also struck in the face by an object thrown by a concert attendee in Boise, Idaho, and Pink had a bag containing someone’s deceased mother’s ashes thrown onto her stage.

These incidents have raised concerns about safety and concert etiquette. Adele, during her Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum in Las Vegas, expressed her disappointment in people forgetting concert etiquette and resorting to throwing objects on stage. She sternly warned the audience against such behavior and joked about the consequences if anyone were to attempt such an act during her show. While some artists have spoken out against these incidents, the question of concert safety remains an ongoing concern for performers and event organizers alike.

It is important for concertgoers to be mindful of their behavior and considerate of the artists on stage to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone involved. As the music industry continues to navigate the challenges of live performances, it is crucial for fans and artists to come together to foster an environment of respect and appreciation for the artistry on display. Concerts should be a celebration of music and creativity, and by working together, we can ensure that these events remain a positive and memorable experience for all.
