Katy Perry has plans for a lunch meeting in April.
The famous singer will be honored with a Colleagues Champion of Children Award for her work with the Firework Foundation at the upcoming 35th annual Colleagues spring luncheon. The event, happening on April 25 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, will be hosted by Ali Wentworth and showcase a fashion show featuring Oscar de la Renta’s fall 2024 collection by designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia.
Perry is standing out for her positive influence on young people through the Firework Foundation, a project she co-founded with her sister Angela Lerche in 2019. The foundation offers various activities, including a summer camp where Perry plays a key role in leading workshops on songwriting, music production, and choreography.
Recently, Perry made headlines by revealing her plans to leave her position as a judge on American Idol and hinting at a new music project in the works. Throughout her career, she has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Trevor Project’s Hero Award, UNICEF’s Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award, the Human Rights Campaign’s National Equality Award, amfAR’s Award of Courage, and Variety’s Power of Women honor.
