At the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, Cardi B performed her latest single “Money” while being nominated for five awards, including Album of the Year for her debut LP “Invasion of Privacy.” During her performance, Cardi B flaunted her showmanship by dancing in front of a large peacock feather fan and vamped up on a bedazzled piano. This is not Cardi B’s first time being nominated; she was previously nominated for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow.” Furthermore, her songs “I Like It” and “Be Careful” were recognized in Record of the Year and Best Rap Performance respectively, and “Invasion of Privacy” was up for Best Rap Album. In addition, her Maroon 5 collaboration “Girls Like You” is a top contender in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. Cardi B’s music career started in 2016 with the mixtape “Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 1,” followed by “Vol. 2” the next year before being signed to Atlantic Records. Her debut major label single “Bodak Yellow” quickly became a hit, eventually hitting Number One, and she released “Invasion of Privacy” in 2018, which also debuted at Number One.
