At this year’s Met Gala, Cardi B showed off four different outfits throughout the night, including one that paid tribute to WWD. As she headed to after-parties, she donned a custom-made dress by Syndical Chamber, a Barcelona-based brand that examines today’s digital era with a surrealistic flair. The gown, created by designer Sergio Castaño Peña and commissioned by Cardi B’s stylist, Kollin Carter, featured digital prints of archival WWD publications related to Karl Lagerfeld’s first collection for Chanel. Peña used laser printing on silk velvet to achieve the desired effect.
