Angelina Jolie’s Bold Move: Saying Farewell to Hollywood for Cambodia

Actress Angelina Jolie has recently spoken about her plans to leave Hollywood and relocate to Cambodia, describing Hollywood as a place that lacks authenticity and is not healthy. Growing up in Hollywood with famous parents, Jolie never found it to be impressive.

In a recent interview with WSJ Magazine, the movie star shared, “I will move when I can.” Her ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt following their split in 2016 has further reinforced her desire to create boundaries and move away. Her acting career has slowed down as well, with only five movie appearances in the past several years since the divorce.

Jolie’s exposure to public scrutiny regarding her personal life has made her question if she would choose to pursue acting again if given the chance. While she waits for the day she can escape Hollywood by relocating to Cambodia, she is also focusing on her newly established sustainable fashion brand, Atelier Jolie, with the help of her children Zahara and Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.

She is currently working on opening a store in New York City that will feature a café run by refugee and immigrant chefs and host educational events. Jolie, 48, started dating Brad Pitt, 60, in 2005 and they got married in 2014, but they split two years later following Jolie’s initial divorce filing.

They have been caught up in a legal dispute regarding the custody of their six children. Their children include Maddox, Pax Thien, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox Jolie-Pitt. Maddox, Pax Thien, and Zahara were adopted from orphanages in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Ethiopia, while Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox are their biological children.

Jolie was awarded primary custody of the children, while Pitt was granted shared custody.
