As per TRT Haber, Köpük, a rescue dog, has gained fame on social media due to his dedication. The brave dog was deployed to sniff out missing people in the rubble of Marrakech after the devastating earthquake. It is worth noting that Köpük had previously served with Morocco’s Emergency and Disaster Management team.
Ever since Köpük, along with trainers Dersim Bulut and Niyazi Özbek, was deployed to Malatya city, he has been working tirelessly to assist the victims of various incidents. During a recent search operation, Köpük ended up injuring his leg and sustaining multiple scratches from debris. However, despite the excruciating pain, Köpük remained determined and successfully accomplished his mission. To avoid further aggravating his injuries, all four of Köpük’s legs were bandaged up. According to trainer Dersim Bulut, Köpük helped the team locate five individuals during their first search and rescue mission in Hayat Sitesi following an earthquake. The rescue team often relies on Köpük’s keen sense of smell to identify areas that require digging.
The duo of coaches consists of Dersim Bulut and Niyazi Özbek.
