Regarding women supporting women, it may seem like a new concept, but I believe it has been happening for a while. When I first arrived in Los Angeles at the age of 20, I met a group of girls who are still my friends today. They were on a different path than me, and I had never been part of a group of women who talked for hours on end. I was used to the fast-paced lifestyle of New York City, so this was a real culture shock for me. But as it turns out, this circle of women ended up being a blessing in disguise. Our industry can be tough and unsupportive, but these women helped me through it all. I remember going to auditions where other girls would try to sabotage my performance, but my friends always had my back. In short, it’s important for women to support each other in all aspects of life.
